Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management:
– Plan, direct, and perform warehouse activities including receiving, storing, packing, picking, shipping, and inventory.
– Oversee warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
– Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization within the warehouse.
Inventory Management:
– Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stock outs.
– Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systems.
– Perform data entry functions as part of warehouse inventory management systems.
Staff Management and Training:
– Train and supervise warehouse staff, including scheduling shifts and assigning tasks.
– Prepare and supervise the daily activities of the labor force.
– Ensure all paperwork, including warehouse and personnel documentation, is completed in a timely manner.
Health, Safety, and Security:
– Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
– Safeguard warehouse operations and contents to abide by company policies.
– Work closely with the Safety Specialist on safety awareness training and enforce safety protocols.
Collaboration and Reporting:
– Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of goods.
– Maintain accurate records of all warehouse transactions, including receipts and shipments.
– Prepare and submit daily and monthly reports to the Operations Manager about warehouse activities.
Qualifications:
-Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
-Experience: – Minimum of 05 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
– Experience in managing warehouse operations, inventory control, and staff supervision
