Waiter/Bartender

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in hospitality or vocational training in food & beverage
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Bar Operations. Bartending skills coupled with thorough knowledge about all types of wines, liquor and cocktails are a definite plus and at least slightly expected.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Mixes and prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

2.Takes orders from and serves drinks to guests; prepares and presents bills; accepts payments.

3.Checks stock levels of bar supplies and initiates necessary requisitions; obtains requisitioned supplies.

4.Cleans and sets up bar and equipment; places bottles in proper places; prepares en-place to be used during his shift.

5.Washes and dries dirty glasses and other tableware.

6.Participates in inventories of bar stock by cost control.

7.Performs other duties as may be assigned.

·Be able to promote the hotel products and services.

·Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about Cristal Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

·Ensure known repeat guests, and other VIPs receive special attention

·To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.

Health & Safety

·Operate equipment using procedures learned during training to company standards.

·Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene, and Fire Life Safety.

·To be vigilant in the workplace and report any signs of fire related issues

·To report any equipment failures or problems to the Maintenance Department.

·Familiarise yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.

·Ensure all security incidents, accidents, and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of your line manager)
