Responsibilities
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the social studies curriculum.
• Foster critical thinking and analytical skills in students through class discussions and activities.
• Assess student learning through quizzes, exams, and projects, providing timely feedback to support their academic growth.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports differentiated instruction for diverse learning styles.
• Stay current with developments in the field of social studies education and integrate relevant content into teaching practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and instructional strategies across grade levels.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance to support data-driven decision-making.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and academic needs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of best practices.
• Uphold school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
• Teaching certification/license in Social Studies or related subject area.
• Knowledge of current teaching methods, strategies, and curriculum standards in Social Studies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to promoting inclusive learning environments.
