Senior Accountant – Trading Company

Job Summary

Currently aiming to attract qualified candidates for the Senior Accountant position within our client’s commodity trading company based in Dubai. We’re seeking a talented individual who possesses the right blend of expertise in accounting, experience in commodity trading, and familiarity with Navision ERP.

Job Description
• Analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper recording of all financial transactions.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Review journal entries and adjusting entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure internal controls.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax filings.

The Successful Applicant
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience within the UAE.
• Proficiency in Navision ERP is mandatory.
• Experience in the commodity trading industry is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with DMCC regulations and procedures is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
