The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the organization s tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions. This role requires deep knowledge of tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex tax issues across multiple jurisdictions. Additionally, he will also be supporting the team in month end closing tasks of the department. Key Accountabilities: Tax related Prepare and review corporate tax returns and other direct/indirect tax filings (e.g., VAT, WHT, sales tax) in compliance with local and international tax laws. Manage tax provision processes, including quarterly and annual tax accounting (IAS 12), and ensure accurate reporting in financial statements. Provide support during external tax audits and liaise with tax authorities. Analyze and interpret changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the business. Assist in transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transaction reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., legal, treasury, operations) on business transactions to ensure tax efficiency. Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation. Ensure internal controls over tax processes are effective and in line with compliance requirements. Expenditure related Perform processes related to accounting for operating costs (Opex) across the organization, including monthly accruals, estimates, and the closing process. Manage vendor and supplier relationships, resolve issues, and validate and process invoices for payment, including both Opex and Capex vendors/suppliers. Develop controls to ensure the completeness of the general ledger, including monthly reconciliations with suppliers. Review and provide schedules, supporting documents, and monthly reconciliations of all assigned GL accounts to the financial reporting team. Any other task assigned by line manager. Qualifications, experience and skills: Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting Strong understanding of tax laws, international tax principles, and accounting standards. Professional Accountancy Certification such as CA, CTA, CPA, CMA is a plus Experience: 5 years of experience working in tax, general ledger and/or accounting operations environment preferable within the telecoms industry or a multinational organization. Experience for working in Big 4 auditing firm is a plus Experience in Oracle ERP (EBS or oracle fusion) is preferable. Skills Good understanding of accounting principles; best practices and procedures Ability to manage own work load and meet aggressive deadlines and deliverables Ability to work well in a team environment under demanding and stressful conditions Outcome focused and result oriented Ability to adapt to changing priorities, workload and tasks Ability to suggest changes in current process to bring more efficiency Strong analytical and excel skills.
