Job Objective• The Modern Trade Sales Executive reporting to the Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and developing key modern trade accounts, achieving sales targets, and fostering strong relationships with modern trade partners. Your role involves implementing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the brand’s presence and prominence within modern trade channels.Modern Trade Account Management:• Manage and nurture relationships with key modern trade partners, including major retail chainsand hypermarkets.• Understand and address the specific needs, challenges, and requirements of each account.Sales Strategy Implementation:• Collaborate with the Sales Supervisor to develop and execute sales strategies and objectives.• Implement sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs.Sales Performance:• Monitor and analyze sales performance for modern trade accounts, including productperformance, sales trends, and market dynamics.• Proactively identify opportunities for revenue growth and take appropriate actions.Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in moderntrade channels.Promotions and Marketing:• Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute modern trade-specific promotionalactivities and marketing campaigns.• Coordinate promotional activities within modern trade accounts.Inventory Management:• Work closely with inventory and logistics teams to ensure optimal product availability andinventory turnover within modern trade accounts.• Manage stock levels and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.Reporting and Documentation:• Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, account interactions, and market intelligence.• Prepare detailed sales reports and analyses specific to modern trade accounts for review with theSales Supervisor.Negotiations and Contracts:• Conduct negotiations with modern trade partners to secure favorable terms and contracts.• Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and terms.Customer Relationship Management:• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders withinmodern trade accounts.• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.Compliance and Safety:• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations in all sales and merchandising activitieswithin modern trade accounts.• Promote a safe and organized work environment in adherence to safety protocols. • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevantcertifications are a plus).• Proven experience in modern trade sales, key account management, or related roles within theFMCG industry.• A minimum of 3 – 6 years of experience in the same capacity• Strong negotiation, sales, and account management skills.• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.• Proficiency in sales reporting tools and market analysis.• Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions.• Valid driving license.
