The Candidate
As Venue Manager,you will join a committed F&B team, driven with the intent of delivering ‘FIVE-star’ experiences to an international diaspora in the heart of vibrant Dubai and Zurich.

As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing guest solutions that break boundaries.
We are looking for a natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, can focus on, and execute, tasks with a sharp eye for detail. An outgoing, people-friendly personality with an ability to think ‘on your feet’ during changing situations is also essential.
You’ll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.

Key Responsibilities
Will be responsible for taking the lead in driving an increase in business of the venue
Lead the outlet efficiently in cost and expenses, constantly delivering the highest quality of F&B services, as well as driving high top line revenue and profit results
Understand the concept of the outlet thoroughly and train all employees of the outlet in regards to the concept
Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with team members on preparation, guest profiles, services to be performed and menus served
Prepare and review the outlet’s Operations Manual updates annually in accordance with the Assistant Head of Department
Efficient up-selling for all items offered by the department to be assured
Set a sterling example in terms of service, products and knowledge to the team, that reflects the concept of the outlet
Be knowledgeable of the existing POS systems
Produce reports and analysis of the outlet and present the reports in the monthly performance meeting.
Assist in the preparation of the outlet’s budget
Set an example by reporting to duty punctually wearing business attire according to FIVE’s dress code and grooming standards, maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
Provide a professional and courteous service at all times and ensure that all employees of the assigned outlet follow the set example
Ensure that the place of work and surrounding areas are kept clean and organised at all times
Inspire the team to execute the highest level of service standards at all times
Organise tastings of daily dishes and new menus
Monitor operating supplies and equipment and reduce spoilage and wastage successfully
Establish a pool of qualified and trained full and part-time employees in conjunction with FIVE’s People Services Department
Manage daily or weekly meetings with the kitchen teams and foster team work to constantly develop the outlet(s) for greater success
Handle guest enquiries and complaints in the outlet(s) in a courteous and efficient manner and report to the Head of Department / Assistant Head of Department ensuring that an effective follow-up is performed with the concerned guests
Conduct monthly inventory of operating supplies and equipment together with the stewarding department
Act as Food & Beverage Duty Manager during the absence of the Food & Beverage Head of Department and Assistant Head of Department

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a senior management level, from a hospitality / restaurant background (UAE experience desirable)

Ability to find creative solutions while taking ownership for all duties and tasks assigned
