Job Duties

1. Supervise Maintenance Operations: Lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks are completed on time, maintaining the airworthiness of the aircraft.

2. Ensure Compliance with Standards: Ensure that all maintenance activities are documented in line with technical publications, manuals, and regulations to uphold airworthiness standards.

3. Parts Approval and Installation: Verify that all replacement parts meet regulatory and company standards before installation on aircraft or components.

4. Optimize Resource Utilization: Efficiently allocate manpower and resources to maintain smooth production flow and meet deadlines for task completion and component release.

5. Identify and Solve Operational Challenges: Proactively advise the workshop manager on potential issues impacting work progression and use technical expertise to implement solutions that minimize operational disruptions.

Job Requirements

1. Licensing and Qualifications: Hold an ICAO Type II or QCAA license or equivalent company authorization for aircraft maintenance.

2. Technical Expertise: Proficient in reading and interpreting Maintenance Data (Component Maintenance Manual, Service Bulletins, Engineering Drawings).

3. Leadership Skills: Strong ability to delegate tasks, set clear priorities, and lead a team effectively while maintaining high service standards.

4. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience, with at least 5 years on wide-body aircraft maintenance.

5. Health and Safety Adherence: Knowledge of and commitment to enforcing Health and Safety requirements, promoting a culture of safety within the team.

Qualifications

1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

2. Maintenance Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, specifically with structural and composite work on wide-body aircraft.

3. Additional Certifications: Structural type courses on QR main fleet for Structures and Composite Workshop preferred.

4. Leadership & Mentoring: Strong mentoring and coaching abilities with a focus on team development and efficient workflow management.
