The Procurement Engineer – Oil & Gas will be responsible for the procurement function for oil and gas projects, ensuring that materials, equipment, and services are procured per project specifications, timelines, and budget requirements. This role involves overseeing the full procurement lifecycle, from vendor selection to contract management, while ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and local regulations. The Procurement Lead Engineer will collaborate closely with project engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet project goals and manage procurement risks efficiently. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering) or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in the oil and gas industry (consumable & rental), preferably in a project-based environment.Strong knowledge of procurement processes, oil and gas project requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, API, ASME).Proven experience in vendor management, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.In-depth understanding of procurement regulations, health, safety, and environmental requirements in the oil and gas sector.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess technical specifications, pricing, and vendor performance.Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement management tools is an advantage.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage procurement risks effectively.Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CIPS, MCIPS) are an advantage.Fluency in English (Arabic language skills are an advantage).Full-time position based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and willing to relocate in RuwaisHigh-pressure environment with tight deadlines and complex procurement requirements.Opportunity to work on high-profile oil and gas projects with exposure to a global supply chain.
