· Ensures competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.· Maintains complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.· Executes and monitors all regular purchasing duties.· Coordinates with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.· Assists in managing and following up overseas orders.· Handles and monitors claims to factories and vendors for defectives, shortage, missing items.· Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.· Prepares and processes Purchase Orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.· Sources, selects and negotiates for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers.· Negotiates for best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery and service) with qualified suppliers and subcontractors.· Purchases and issues order in accordance to specification.· Sources new parts, suppliers or sub-contractors when the need arises.· Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises and reviews work of staff responsible for purchasing including technical and specialized procurement of supplies, equipment and services.· Meets with or speaks to interested vendors concerning potential source for supply and service.· Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with vendors and fosters relations between suppliers – Civil Engineer with 4 years experience in UAE( contracting / construction sector)- Preference for immediate joiners.
