Pharmacist

Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at our Addiction Treatment Center in Sohar, Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing medication-related aspects of addiction treatment, including medication dispensing, patient education, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense medications to residents and medical staff according to prescribed treatment plans. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and administration of medications.
• Collaboration with Medical Team: Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective medication management. Assist in selecting the appropriate medications based on individual patient needs.
• Patient Education: Educate residents and staff on medication use, side effects, and the importance of adherence. Monitor and support medication compliance.
• Medication Monitoring: Track the effectiveness of medications and adjust treatment protocols as necessary, in collaboration with the medical team.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure medication handling complies with regulatory standards. Stay updated on local and international regulations.
• Ongoing Development: Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with advances in addiction pharmacotherapy.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent).
• Experience: 3-5 years in clinical or hospital pharmacy, with experience in addiction treatment preferred.
• Licenses: Valid MOH license in Oman.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of pharmacology, psychopharmacology, drug interactions, and patient care. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
