This role is based in Hong Kong SAR, and as a People Operations Coordinator will provide support for both our Asia Pacific and Middle East regions. As a key member of the Global People Operations team, the People Operations Coordinator supports the entire employee lifecycle at Teneo. They are often the first point of contact for our employees and aim to provide a seamless and positive experience for everyone. Well-versed in company policies, processes, and procedures, they are responsible for handling a wide range of routine People related (HR) inquiries and support managers and employees through various lifecycle changes. Responsibilities As a People Operations Coordinator within the Global People Team, your role will include: Employee Support and Guidance – Support managers and employees with routine people-related queries, promoting self-service solutions while providing additional support when necessary. You will also play a pivotal role in cyclical processes, such as the annual performance and compensation review processes, to both to employees and the wider Global People Team. Connect with statutory agencies when needed to further clarify on employment/immigration or income tax legislation. Employee Lifecycle Management – Track and manage key employee lifecycle processes, such as onboarding, visa sponsorships, probation, and offboarding. Ensure candidates, managers, and employees are informed at each step about their responsibilities, entitlements, and next steps. Manage changes to employment conditions and ensure preparation of all the necessary documentation and updates in the HRIS system. HRIS System Management – Serve as a front-end Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our HRIS system, providing guidance and support to users on system functionalities and HR processes. Anticipate the reporting needs of various stakeholders and proactively propose and implement better reporting solutions in collaboration with the HRIS team (e.g., exit interview summaries, absence data, headcount reports, starter and leaver reports). Collaboration and Coordination – Collaborate with key functions and/or vendors as appropriate. This will also include managing/reviewing payroll and/or income tax filings in certain jurisdictions. You will also provide support for the organization and coordination of region-specific People initiatives and events. Continuous Improvement and Policy Management – Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, processes, and related documentation/guides to continually improve People Operations services and the employee experience. Furthermore, you will be expected to: Administer employee benefits and manage the benefits system and pension portal where applicable. Provide administrative support for Talent Acquisition requisitions across the region, including coordinating and tracking interviews and conducting interviews for certain roles such as interns. Support local learning and development needs by organizing training sessions, sourcing suitable vendors, and collaborating with the Global Learning team as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, psychology or related field preferred. Additional HR certifications are advantageous. At least 2 years experience as an HR Administrator, HR Executive or HR Officer. Excellent and Native English verbal and written communication skills, as well as business-level fluency in Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin). Additional Asian language skills are an advantage. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. A passionate HR professional, with knowledge of local employment legislation across Asia Pacific and the Middle East would be advantageous Experience with HRIS systems, such as Workday, is preferred. Experience processing or working with vendors on payroll and tax filing is preferred International work/study experience is advantageous, especially experience working with matrix multinational organisations Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
