Tayview Medical Practice currently a vacancy for a Medical Receptionist. This position is based on 20-25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday involving a mixed shift pattern. The mixed shift pattern being 0800-1800hrs, 0800-1300hrs or 1300-1800hrs. We are a busy, friendly, practice which provides services from two practices based within Newport and Tayport.
Previous experience of working within either primary or secondary care would be desirable, although full training will be given to the successful candidate.
The successful candidate should possess:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Good computer skills with a willingness to learn the IT systems used by the practice.
Good organisational skills.
The ability to work as part of a team and also independently.
The ability to be able to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the practice.This includes assisting with overtime at times of staff absence.
The ability to enjoy assisting members of the public.
The ability to be professional in their approach at all times.
An understanding of patient confidentiality.
