We’re Hiring: Female Shotokan Karate Instructor (Part-Time)

Are you ready to inspire and empower students through the art of traditional Shotokan Karate?

Harmony Shotokan Karate-Do Academy, founded by Kyle Kamal Helou, 6th Dan and the first, and only, non-Japanese graduate of the prestigious Japan Karate Shoto Federation (JKS) Master Instructor Training Program, is expanding. We are currently seeking a female part-time Shotokan Karate instructor to join our growing team.

Our training is rooted in tradition, with a strong emphasis on discipline, character development, and cultural authenticity.

Position:
Part-time female Shotokan Karate instructor
Workdays:
Potential classes may take place from Monday to Sunday.
Flexibility in availability on those days is very important.

Requirements:
• Black belt certification, 1st Dan or higher, in Shotokan Karate
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable teaching students of all ages
• Fluent in English to explain Shotokan techniques and principles clearly
• Professional, reliable, and committed to high instructional standards

Responsibilities:
• Teach traditional Shotokan Karate classes for children and adults
• Emphasize discipline, technical form, and character-building values
• Maintain a respectful, safe, and engaging training environment
• Represent the academy’s mission and values in every class taught
