About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Accounts Associate to join our in-house Finance team in Birmingham. This part-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for daily bookkeeping tasks, bank reconciliations, and supporting broader finance operations, including compliance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Support internal audits and year-end financial processes
• Utilise accounting software (preferably Capium) to manage transactions and generate reports
• Assist with payroll processing and related financial entries using Capium
• Provide general administrative and reporting support to the Finance department

Skills & Experience
• ACCA qualification or equivalent (e.g. AAT, CIMA, or a degree in Finance/Accounting)
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and general accounting roles
• Proficiency in Capium or similar accounting software
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and general IT proficiency
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated discretion in handling sensitive and confidential financial information

Salary and Benefits
• £25,400 – £27,000 (Pro Rata)per year depending on experience
• Basic hours are 9am to 6pm on site
• Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period
• 3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs required to work 20 Hours a week

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,400.00-£27,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
