Job description
HIRING – Maintenance Technician (No licenses required)
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Mechanic to support our dynamic food/beverage manufacturing operations by ensuring all equipment runs efficiently and safely. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our equipment, resolving mechanical issues, and supporting continuous improvement. Location – Etobicoke
Shift – Continental Day/Night
Pay – $30-35+

Responsibilities
– Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production machinery to identify potential issues.
– Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems including conveyors, palletizers, wrappers, and other production line equipment.
– Collaborate with machine operators to resolve breakdowns quickly and minimize downtime.
– Work with PLCs and electronic systems as needed to diagnose and correct issues.
– Ensure all work aligns with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
– Document maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
– Assist in training team members and sharing technical knowledge across the department.
– Follow internal safety protocols and regulatory compliance procedures (GMP, HACCP).
Qualifications
– Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a food/beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing plant
– Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
– Experience with electromechanical components such as sensors, drives, and HMIs is a plus.
– Ability to interpret manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.
– Able to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment.
– Willingness to learn and committment to continuous improvement
