Job description
We’re seeking Machine Operators to join our client’s team in the Print Packaging Industry in Mississauga.
What We Offer:
• Job Type: Permanent, full-time with benefits
• Salary: $21/hr plus shift premium for afternoon and nights
• Shift: Rotating bi-weekly – Mornings, Afternoons, and Nights
• Location: Mississauga, ON L4Y 1S1
• Start Date: ASAP
What You’ll Do:
• Operate Weber and Garant Machines, packaging at required dial speeds.
• Prepare rolls and re-web the machine.
• Adjust slits, adjust/replace tucking blades, adjust and/or replace spots, and change coarse/fine knives.
• Cut and install correct bottom pasters and maintain glue levels.
• Work with shopfloor software for labelling, counting, and palletizing.
• Clean machines.
• Achieve production targets.
• Document and report.
• Maintain quality control & assurance.
• Identify and report variations and deviations.
What We’re Looking For:
• 3+ years’ experience in the printing – packaging industry, experience on Weber and Garant Machines or similar machines is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanically inclined and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all corporate and legislative Health & Safety standards and policies.
• Attention to detail to accurately read production sheets, sample boards and schedule lists.
• Must pass a criminal check.
