A leading contractor specialising in civil engineering, demolition, and enabling works is looking to appoint a dedicated HSEQ & Lifting Planner to support their expanding project portfolio. This is a hybrid role, with a mix of site visits, office-based work, and home flexibility-ideal for someone based in or around Kent.

?? The Role

In this varied role, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality health, safety, environmental, and quality documentation, while also planning and coordinating lifting operations. You’ll work closely with operational teams to ensure all project activities are compliant, safe, and well-structured from a planning and risk perspective.

?? Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and manage RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
Develop and maintain detailed lift plans and related documentation
Liaise with site teams to ensure safe planning and execution of lifting operations
Support on-site audits, inspections, and toolbox talks
Promote HSEQ best practices across all live projects
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal HSEQ processes and systems
Support project teams with documentation for high-risk works

? Ideal Background

Experience in a similar role within construction, civils, demolition, or lifting operations
Knowledge of UK HSE legislation and best practices
Familiar with planning lifting operations (e.g. use of cranes, mobile plant, etc.)
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Comfortable working across multiple sites with occasional office/home-based work
Ideally located in Kent or surrounding areas
Relevant training or qualifications are beneficial but not essential-experience and attitude matter most
