Job Description
Position Summary The Lab Instructor, Applied Communications supports faculty and students within one or more Media/Design/Broadcasting/Communication program areas by maintaining the Department’s equipment, facilities including studios/laboratories and workshops. The role includes running, monitoring and evaluating studio/workshop/lab hours that familiarize students with the equipment, tools and operations of studio, labs and workshops. The incumbent’s scope of work includes the installation, demonstration, maintenance and trouble-shooting of equipment and facilities. This is a hands-on role which will have the Lab Instructor working closely with faculty and students with the Studios, workshops and laboratory. The Lab Instructor sets up the studios, workshops, lab in preparation for projects/ experiments and will include up to 10 hours per week of instructional duties.
