Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain robust Back End services using Java and Node.js
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, UX, and product owners
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies (eg stand-ups, sprint planning)
• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and meet accessibility standards
• Debug and resolve technical issues across development and production environments
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical documentation

Essential Skills & Experience
• Strong commercial experience in Java (8+) and Node.js
• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams in a government or large enterprise environment
• Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (eg Git)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS or Azure)
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and practices (TDD, BDD, SOLID)
