Description
• Plan and teach lessons following the IB curricula that differentiate for individual student needs and support students whose first language is not English.
• Use a wide range of technologies and creative teaching styles.
• Regularly contribute to curriculum planning and development including interdisciplinary units of work and the development of transdisciplinary skills.
• Plan with colleagues to deliver effective team teaching when possible.
• Develop assessment tasks following IB guidelines and use a wide range of formative assessment tools.
• Supervise IBMYP personal projects and IBDP extended essays.
• Attend regular curriculum planning and student progress meetings.
• Keep parents informed about student progress and attending parent meetings. Advisor Responsibilities
• Foster good home-school relationships, with regular communications to parents.
• Deliver care, guidance and support to their advisory group and taking responsibility for monitoring
• students’ academic and personal development as they progress through the programme.
• Implement the PSHE curriculum.
• Work with students to develop personalised learning goals and strategies for achieving these goals.
• Work with the IB Co-ordinators to ensure each student has opportunities to undertake meaningful

• Take an active part in the provision of extra-curricular activities.
• Take an active part in creating a distinctive ethos for the school and encouraging high standards of
• conduct according to the school behaviour policy.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
• Collaborate professionally with colleagues on the growth and development of academic and social
• programmes at the school
• Engage professionally with new initiatives undertaken by the school. Administrative responsibilities
• Keep up-to-date records of attendance, curriculum, assessment tasks and assessment data
• Prepare student reports and references, and other reports as required.
• Carry out supervision at break times, lunch times and other times as required.
• Participate as required in the preparation for inspections, authorisations and accreditations.
• Prepare documentation for IB external assessment. Professional learning
• Demonstrate a genuine, active interest in on-going personal professional development, including through participation in professional learning groups in the school.
• Commit to deepening a professional approach to digital integration.
• Contribute to initiatives for innovation in the use of learning technologies.
• Keep up-to-date with developments in the IB. Salary range, dependent upon years of experience and qualification: AED 12,100 to 15,675 per month Benefits:
