About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Director to lead the HR function for a fast-growing EPC company setting up operations in the Middle East. This is a unique chance to establish the HR framework, policies, and structure for a major player in the EPC sector, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws while aligning with global corporate strategies.
With ambitious growth plans, the company is looking for a dynamic HR leader with EPC industry expertise and a strong track record in building HR functions from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
• Design and implement the HR strategy for the Middle East operations, supporting rapid workforce expansion.
• Develop organizational structures, policies, and procedures in compliance with UAE labor laws and aligned with global HR standards.
• Advise senior leadership on best practices for HR strategy and workforce planning.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
• Lead talent acquisition efforts, hiring key professionals across various EPC disciplines focused on developing multicultural & diverse workforce.
• Ensure robust hiring strategies in place to match demands of the business, particularly for technical, engineering, and project management roles.
• Support UAE Government policies by developing strategies to attract and retain Emirati talent.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, grievance handling, and engagement initiatives.
• Drive employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development initiatives.
HR Policy & Compliance:
• Act as the key liaison with local government authorities to ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Oversee payroll, onboarding, and HRIS implementation to streamline HR processes.
• Ensure adherence to UAE labor laws, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Implement modern HR systems and data-driven decision-making tools.
Culture / L&D:
• Collaborate with leadership to cultivate an engaging and inclusive company culture. Design and implement training programs to enhance skills, leadership, and safety awareness.
Background & Experience:
• 10+ years of HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the EPC industry.
• Proven track record in establishing HR functions for new operations/startups.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and employment regulations.
• Expertise in organizational development, workforce planning, and change management.
• Experience working in a multinational environment, preferably with Chinese organizations or companies with a global HQ.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
