Head Cook – Indian Cuisine – Labor Camp

Key Responsibilities:

1. Menu planning: Plan and prepare nutritious meals for labor camp residents, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.

2. Food preparation: Prepare and cook meals in large quantities, maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.

3. Kitchen management: Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, storage, and waste management.

4. Team supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.

5. Quality control: Ensure that all food served meets quality and safety standards.

Requirements:

1. Culinary experience: Proven experience as a head cook or chef, preferably in a labor camp or similar setting.

2. Cuisine expertise: Knowledge of Indian cuisine and ability to prepare a variety of dishes.

3. Leadership skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of kitchen staff.

4. Food safety and hygiene: Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

5. Communication skills: Effective communication skills to interact with labor camp residents and management.

Additional Requirements:

1. Language skills: Proficiency in English and/or local languages may be beneficial.

2. Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

3. Physical stamina: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
