• Teach chemistry, physics, and 11th and 12th grade mathematics in accordance with and enhancing provincial standards
• Understand and apply the curriculum objectives, protocols and culture of Kells Academy
• Complete cafeteria, arrival, dismissal and other student supervisions as assigned
• Attend and contribute to team and faculty meetings
• Attend required school events beyond the school day, such as Open House and parent-teacher interviews
• Take advantage of professional development opportunities
• Communicate regularly with administration, parents and students regarding student progress
• Complete other duties as assigned by the school principal
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, science, or education; Master’s preferred
• Strong teaching background, including training and experience, in mathematics and science
• Successful experience working with a diverse student population
Schedule and Accountability
• Responsibilities mainly fall between the hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Start date August 18, 2025
• The math teacher reports to the principal
