Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support overall financial health. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Handle accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and monitor company transactions
Manage VAT filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations
Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors
Monitor inventory and cost of goods sold
Prepare payroll and related reports
Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience (4+ years) as an accountant, preferably in trading or wholesale
Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally and Peachtree)
Good understanding of UAE VAT laws and compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred:

Filipino Nationality

Experience in the trading or construction materials industry
Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting
