Executive Housekeeper

• *Job Summary:**

The Executive Housekeeper will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role is crucial in providing a welcoming and hygienic environment for our guests, and the Executive Housekeeper will lead a team of housekeeping staff to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness and service.
• *Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Staff Management:**

– Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff.

– Schedule staff shifts and manage daily assignments.

– Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development.

2. **Quality Control:**

– Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and service areas comply with cleanliness and safety standards.

– Perform regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure quality standards are met.

3. **Inventory and Supplies:**

– Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment, maintaining appropriate levels to meet operational needs.

– Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary supplies and equipment.

4. **Budget Management:**

– Assist in budget preparation and control housekeeping expenses.

– Monitor labor costs and productivity to ensure the department operates within budget.

5. **Guest Relations:**

– Respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

– Foster a positive relationship with guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their stay.

6. **Health and Safety:**

– Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.

– Maintain proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

7. **Reporting:**

– Maintain accurate records of room status, maintenance issues, and lost and found items.

– Prepare reports on department performance and present to management as needed.
• *Qualifications:**

– High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus.

– Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.

– Strong leadership and organizational skills.

– Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.

– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

– Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment.

– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• *Physical Requirements:**

– Ability to stand, walk, and bend.

– Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing and pulling cleaning carts.
• *Working Conditions:**

– Fast-paced hotel environment.

– May require working in different areas of the hotel and in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
