To sell the Banquet facilities to groups and organizations looking to hold conferences or events. Coordinating details of the event to develop long-term relationships with clients. To ensure that all the guests’ requirements are met through effective communication with the Banquet Administration and the Banquet Operation accordingly.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for Banquet Office Administration & Sales.Responsible for the aesthetic presentation and upkeep of the banquet showroom.Complete all Banquet sales correspondences in consultation with Director of Conference and Banqueting.Effectively use Banquet Reservation & Record Systems.Attends guests who drop in Banquet Office for event booking.Able to explain all Banquet facilities & services.Able to arrange all requirements of events by sourcing from other departments or outside contractors as per AFOCH policies.Communicates Event Orders, menus and other function details to concerned persons in advance of the event.Manages ladies functions (Internal / External).Gets involved and fully aware of the entire Banquet operations.Helps and serves in the operation whenever necessary.Completes tasks in a timely manner.Follow up on buffet labels, menus, signage’s for each event.LPO’s and pending bills are followed on daily basis.Makes call to enquire about the events held at the Club / Hotels and communicates with all concerned.Schedules Sales calls as advised by Director of Conference and Banqueting. Previous experience in wedding sales or coordinating wedding events.Minimum Higher Secondary Education/Course on Computer Applications/Secretarial Diploma in recognized institute.Good communication skills.Can operate computer using MS World, Excel & Power Point.
