• They must understand and follow prescribed dietary plans and restrictions.
• Menu Planning:
• Diet chefs often collaborate with dietitians or nutritionists to create balanced and nutritious menus.
• They must consider both the nutritional content and the palatability of the meals.
• Food Safety and Sanitation:
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment is crucial.
• They must adhere to strict food safety regulations to prevent foodborne illnesses.
• Inventory Management:
• Diet chefs are often responsible for ordering and managing food supplies.
• This includes monitoring inventory levels and ensuring that fresh ingredients are available.
• Portion Control:
