At The Stoke Group, we work with brands that are shaping how the world engages with technology. We are master storytellers, boundless creatives, thoughtful strategists, and empathetic leaders. Are you ready to elevate your career with a team that’s leading the future of digital content?
The Stoke Group is looking for a strategic content writer and strategist with experience developing high-impact marketing content for B2B brands. The ideal candidate has a track record of creating effective digital content and understands best practices across a wide range of channels, asset types, and journey stages. We’re looking for someone with impeccable writing skills and content strategy experience to produce short- and long-form copy that reflects a deep understanding of client goals and audiences.
Please note that while this is a remote position, we are only considering candidates who live in the United States.
What you’ll do in this role:
• Work closely with the Senior Director of Content Strategy to develop and implement content that aligns with brand messaging and tone.
• Create multi-platform digital content — including long- and short-form articles, blogs, case studies, ebooks, guides, research reports, messaging frameworks, video scripts, social media copy, and promotional assets — that follows industry best practices and effectively communicates the client’s value to targeted customer personas.
• Work with graphic designers and other creative professionals to produce coherent and comprehensive storytelling.
• Be a strategic partner in content projects, from briefing and ideation to creation and delivery.
• Understand and execute on-brand content across a range of channels and journey stages, adjusting the voice, tone, and style to fit the platform strategy and the client’s brand guidelines.
• Be a subject matter expert for all assigned clients, understanding their business goals, the audiences they’re trying to reach, and the problems they are trying to help their audiences solve, and ensuring all work meets these objectives and upholds Stoke’s standard of excellence.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of content marketing experience, preferably working with B2B brands in a client service model (agency setting, in-house creative services team, freelancer).
• Expert-level understanding of grammar and story structure, as well as knowledge of SEO and digital content best practices.
• Extensive experience writing content in different formats.
• Interviewing skills and the ability to extract key details from SMEs and expert sources to create a narrative for every piece of content.
• The ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback from reviewers and stakeholders, as well as self-edit in a meaningful way.
• Deep understanding of how to address buyer needs in content throughout their journey.
• Application of content strategy best practices to planning, creation, and execution.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, projects, and deadlines.
• Experience using work management tools like Airtable, Dropbox, and Wrike.
• Intellectual curiosity, a problem-solving mindset, and a team-oriented work ethic.
• A passion for emotional, human-centered storytelling.
Not required, but helpful:
• Experience working with nonprofit, faith-based, or religious organizations.
• Diverse interests and experiences that showcase your curiosity and creativity (such as podcasting, creative writing, design, video production, etc.)
• A doer’s attitude — you work hard and get things done.
Salary:
$95,000/Annually
