Certified Electrical Engineer (Freelancer / Part-Time)

We are looking for a Certified Electrical Engineer on a freelance or part-time basis to work on electrical design and low-current systems projects, ensuring compliance with UAE authority standards (DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, SIRA).

Responsibilities:
• Prepare SLD and Shop Drawings for authority approvals.
• Calculate electrical loads and perform system analyses.
• Coordinate and obtain NOCs from DEWA / SEWA / FEWA / SIRA.
• Support on-site implementation and conduct technical inspections.
• Attend authority inspections if required.
• Provide technical consultancy and submit regular reports.
• Plan a systematic design outline for effective working and performance of electrical systems and machines.
• Developing clear and concise specification sheets for assisting the company’s purchase department.
• Gathering data from relevant and reliable sources to assist the top-level management in making vital decisions related to electrical projects.
• Audit inspection and maintenance tasks to suggest modifications as per requirement.
• Interact with third-party vendors and project managers to decide on relevant electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Communicate with the top-level management about the potential need for new equipment by providing accurate assessments and reports.

Skills

Requirements:
• Valid Freelance License, or self-sponsorship, if any “Golden Visa”.
• Official registration with DEWA, SEWA, or SIRA (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years UAE experience in electrical and low-current projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (required) and Revit MEP (preferred).
• Full understanding of UAE electrical codes and authority standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).
• Immediate availability for part-time freelance engagement.
• Proven expertise as an electrical engineer.
• Proficient in organizing various aspects of an ongoing project and communicating crucial messages to colleagues.
• Knowledge of the application of safety codes and regulations to develop ergonomic and efficient electrical systems.
• Good command of electrical engineering software to provide the best possible output.
• Decent knowledge of electrical engineering codes and standards.
• Formal technical education in the Electrical Engineering sector from an accredited institute.

Preference:
• Arabic-speaking candidates are highly preferred.
