Key Responsibilities
As the Business Development Professional, you will drive strategic growth and client engagement in key industrial markets. Your responsibilities will include:
• Strategy & Market Penetration:
o Develop and implement business strategies for growth within assigned territories.
o Proactively identify high-value opportunities aligned with core capabilities.
• Client Engagement & Sales Execution:
o Acquire new clients and grow existing accounts through technical presentations and solution-based selling.
o Maintain accurate sales activities and forecasts using CRM software.
• Technical Expertise & Collaboration:
o Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions for valve and automation applications.
o Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful outcomes and reinforce company culture.
• Territory Management:
o Based in Regina or Saskatoon with up to 25% travel across Saskatchewan.
o Conduct work from a home office or client sites approximately 50% of the time.
Results Expected
• Exceed revenue and margin targets between $3-6 million.
• Acquire new clients in your region.
• Achieve double-digit growth year over year.
• Proactively identify high-value opportunities that align with the company’s strengths.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
• Education & Experience:
o A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
o Other relevant technical degrees or diplomas in Instrumentation and Automation are acceptable.
o Minimum 3 years of proven technical experience in industrial process industries.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficient in interpreting datasheets, P&ID’s, and technical drawings.
o Skilled in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; Salesforce experience is an asset.
• Key Competencies:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to plan and close projects effectively.
