Role Overview:

As a Barista, you will be the face of Ruby Cafe, creating memorable experiences for our customers through friendly service and expertly crafted beverages. You’ll work closely with our team to maintain our high standards of quality and contribute to a positive, inviting environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Greet customers warmly, assist them in selecting drinks and pastries, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and more, according to our cafe’s standards.
• Operate coffee machines and equipment with precision, ensuring the consistent quality of every drink.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar, brewing stations, and seating areas.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring the proper handling and storage of perishable items and cleaning of equipment.
• Handle cash and card transactions efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations, especially during busy times.
• Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a friendly and approachable attitude while engaging with customers.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere by supporting colleagues and upholding professional standards.

Skills and Requirements:
• Previous barista experience (1 year preferred) or experience in a similar customer-facing role.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused, friendly attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Must be fluent in English.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
