Job Description
Davang Luna, the sister café to Luna Bakery, is a welcoming space serving specialty coffee and tea beverages inspired by traditional Korean flavours. Nestled on the vibrant Sterling Road, just steps from the heart of Dufferin Grove, Davang Luna sits in one of Toronto’s most creative and dynamic neighbourhoods. As a part-time barista at Davang Luna, you will play a key role in creating positive, memorable experiences for our customers by delivering exceptional service and expertly crafted drinks — while representing our business and brand with care and professionalism.

Barista Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, tea beverages, and baked goods and manage multiple orders simultaneously
• Prep and assemble sandwich menu items according to café standards
• Accurately operate the Point-Of-Sale (POS) system and handle cash transactions
• Sell and promote lifestyle goods and curated retail items
• Engage with customers while maintaining a high standard of service and follow standard operating procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
• Represent the business and brand with professionalism and warmth
• Restock supplies, clean and maintain coffee machines, related equipment and keep the cafe in a clean condition

Skills & Abilities
• Excellent verbal communication skills, proficient in English (fluency required)
• Flexible availability – must be available to work 3–4 shifts per week, including weekend afternoon shifts (Sunday availability is mandatory)
• Strong teamwork, work ethic and interpersonal skills
• Quick thinking and effective problem-solving
• Ability to stay calm and focused during busy periods
• Interest or understanding of Korean desserts is an asset (optional)

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hour shifts
• Intermittent bending and squatting
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25lbs

Experience
• 1+ years of barista experience preferred
• Being able to speak Korean preferred

Compensation
• Starting at $17.20 per hour + tips
