Qualifications & Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of retail management experience, with at least 2 years in a multi-store supervisory role (preferably supermarkets or hypermarkets in the GCC).

3. Industry Knowledge: Familiar with UAE retail regulations, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.

4. Languages: Fluency in English is required; Arabic or Hindi is an advantage.

5.IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office, POS systems, and retail ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics).

6. Driver’s License: Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.

7. Availability: Willing to travel frequently across assigned locations.

Job Summary

Retail Area Manager must oversee operations across multiple supermarket branches in a designated region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, ensuring superior customer experience, and maintaining operational standards aligned with UAE retail market expectations. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to retail management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Performance

Develop and implement area-wide strategies to maximize sales, grow market share, and improve overall branch performance. Monitor branch KPIs including sales, footfall, conversion rate, and basket size.

2. Customer Experience

Drive high standards of customer service and in-store experience across all locations. Address customer feedback and complaints promptly, ensuring resolutions align with brand values.

3. Operational Oversight

Supervise daily store operations, ensuring inventory control, planogram compliance, hygiene, and safety standards are met. Conduct regular branch audits and visits to ensure brand consistency and operational efficiency.

4. Team Leadership & Development

Lead, train, and motivate store managers and frontline teams to achieve targets. Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and identify training needs. Ensure UAE labour law compliance, including staff scheduling, overtime, and leave management.

5. Merchandising & Promotions

Coordinate with the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns, seasonal displays, and in-store branding. Provide feedback on product performance and customer preferences to the buying team.

6. Regulatory & Policy Compliance

Ensure all branches operate in line with local municipality, health & safety, and Civil Defense regulations.Uphold internal SOPs and escalate risk or non-compliance issues promptly.
