Job OverviewAs a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical and electrical health of complex warehouse equipment. You will play a vital role in supporting fulfillment operations by ensuring high levels of equipment availability, complying with safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This role operates on a non-traditional shift pattern, including nights and weekends. Key Responsibilities * Prioritize health and safety in all maintenance activities, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations* Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on material handling equipment (MHE) and automation systems* Respond swiftly to breakdowns, communicate with stakeholders, and minimize operational disruption* Analyze recurring faults and propose system improvements through the engineering line manager* Maintain availability and reliability of conveyor systems, motors, sensors, and control units* Support Senior Engineering Technicians and contribute to knowledge sharing* Manage and coordinate third-party contractors on-site Job Requirements * Multi-skilled in electrical or mechanical disciplines* Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance systems* Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical or mechanical schematics* Skilled in troubleshooting conveyor systems, motors, inverters, and MHE* Knowledge of fault detection and maintenance planning Preferred Qualifications * Experience with high-voltage switching systems* Familiarity with sortation equipment, barcode scanners, and print/apply machines* Apprentice-trained or hold a technical qualification (HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng in Engineering)
