Stageday, a boutique event production agency known for curating culturally rich, emotionally

resonant experiences, is seeking a Freelance Event Director. This is a unique opportunity for a

creative visionary with a deep understanding of narrative, storytelling, and experience design to

shape and pitch bold, immersive events for high-profile clients across the region.

Role Overview

Stageday is seeking a highly creative and strategic Freelance Event Director to help bring bold,

immersive event concepts to life. This role is ideal for a storyteller who can shape compelling

narratives and translate them into high-impact client presentations and curated experiences across

cultural, philanthropic, and lifestyle events.

Key Responsibilities

– Lead the development of a clear event story arc grounded in client objectives, brand identity, and

cultural context.

– Develop creative event narratives that emotionally engage audiences and differentiate Stageday’s

approach.

– Craft themes, titles, tone of voice, and symbolic elements aligned with the brief.

– Translate the narrative into a visually cohesive, presentation-ready deck using tools such as

Keynote, PowerPoint, or Google Slides.

– Work closely with graphic designers and production teams to visualize story elements through

mood boards, reference imagery, layouts, and experience mapping.

– Tailor the storytelling structure for different audiences (e.g. C-suite, creatives, sponsors).

– Present ideas confidently to clients when required, with the ability to defend creative choices and

adapt in real-time.

– Incorporate client feedback with agility and maintain creative integrity under direction.

– Collaborate with Stageday’s core team on content strategy, programming, scenography, and

experience design.

– Contribute to brainstorming and pitch development for new projects.

Deliverables

– 1x narrative-led event concept deck per assignment (including story arc, event theme, visual cues,

and guest journey)

– 1-2 revision rounds based on internal/client feedback

– Optional: verbal presentation to client (virtual or in-person)

Ideal Profile

– Background in event direction, creative strategy, brand experience, or storytelling

– Strong narrative thinking and ability to distill abstract ideas into tangible experiences

– Portfolio of decks or concept presentations in the cultural, lifestyle, or brand event space

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, high-standard environments

– Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus

Duration & Compensation

Project-based, with potential for ongoing freelance collaboration. Compensation to be discussed per

project scope and timeline.
