We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and event management, with a proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of events. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that every event exceeds client expectations.
Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all aspects are managed effectively.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert advice on event logistics.
• Manage budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and oversee all financial aspects of events.
• Coordinate with catering services, entertainment providers, and other suppliers to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Implement upselling strategies to enhance event offerings and increase revenue.
• Supervise event staff and volunteers, ensuring that all team members are well-informed and prepared for their roles.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent guest services and communication.
Requirements
• Proven experience in event coordination or management within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, event managers, sales and kitchen team
• Demonstrated time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and attention to detail in all aspects of event planning.
• Familiarity with hotel operations is beneficial.
