Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with clients who may require support due to various health conditions, including dementia and hospice care. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those you support, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.
Duties
• Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Help with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
• Administer basic care for individuals with dementia or those in hospice care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
• Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
• Previous experience and reference in caregiving or related fields such as assisted living or home care is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care and hospice care practices is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• A caring attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
• Certification or training in nursing or relevant caregiving fields is an asset.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50-$20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 44 per week
