Position Summary:

We are hiring an IT Coordinator to serve as the primary Tier 2 support resource for our Canadian operations. This is a hands-on role based either in Saint John NB with occasional travel to our Moncton site, or from Moncton with travel to the Saint John site.

The Coordinator will oversee IT asset management, resolve support tickets escalated from Tier 1, and assist with onsite infrastructure needs. Ideal candidates will bring technical depth, organizational strength, and a proactive approach to supporting a hybrid workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Support & Troubleshooting
• Respond to Tier 2 technical support tickets, including hardware, software, account, and network issues.
• Coordinate with Tier 1 support to ensure proper ticket escalation and resolution tracking.
• Provide onsite hands-on support for infrastructure changes, including hardware swaps, network cabling, and physical device troubleshooting.

Asset & Inventory Management
• Manage IT inventory using Snipe-IT, ensuring assets are logged, tagged, tracked, and reconciled.
• Handle equipment shipping and returns for employee onboarding and offboarding, including prepaid labels and inspection upon return.
• Liaise with vendors for RMA processes, replacements, and upgrades.

Infrastructure & Technical Support
• Support router and switch configuration tasks on-site under direction from the Infrastructure team.
• Assist with basic network connectivity and device deployment projects.

Administrative & Platform Support
• Support user access, licensing, and group configuration in Azure AD and Office 365.
• Assist with application management, Exchange server administration, and mailbox setup where applicable.
• Maintain documentation of procedures, asset records, and support resolutions.

Required Qualifications:
• 1-2+ years of experience in IT coordination, support, or system administration roles
• Strong troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and O365 environment
• Experience handling Tier 2 support tickets in an enterprise IT setting
• Familiarity with asset tracking systems (e.g., Snipe-IT)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
• Scripting abilities (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or C) for automation and administrative tasks
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and Cisco/Meraki hardware
• Experience with Azure AD, Office 365, and Exchange Server
• Ability to travel between Saint John and Moncton sites 1–2 times per month or as needed.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or Cisco CCNA (asset)

Work Environment:
• On-site: Based in Saint John NB, with some on-site support and scheduled travel to Moncton.
• Regular business hours, with occasional after-hours support for critical incidents

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a PC.
• Ability to communicate effectively and create detailed documentation.
• May occasionally require evening, overnight, or weekend availability.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Primarily office-based with occasional travel (up to 25%).
