GEMS World Academy is looking for a passionate and creative Visual and Performing Arts Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary School team. This role is ideal for an experienced educator with a strong background in both visual and performing arts, and a commitment to inspiring students through expressive, collaborative, and innovative learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach a range of Visual and Performing Arts subjects to Secondary students, aligned with international curriculum standards (IB MYP/DP preferred).
• Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that foster creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression.
• Organize and lead student performances, exhibitions, and arts events throughout the academic year.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and contribute to the development of a comprehensive arts program.
• Provide meaningful feedback and assessment to support student growth and achievement.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular involvement and events.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• A recognized teaching qualification/valid teaching license.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching visual and/or performing arts at the secondary level.
• Experience with IB MYP/DP is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
