Role Overview

As a Part-Time EAL Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting English language acquisition for learners across the school. Through personalized lessons, collaboration with colleagues, and a flexible teaching approach, you will help EAL students access the curriculum and gain confidence in their language abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and adaptive EAL lessons to students at various proficiency levels
• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction accordingly
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that prioritizes well-being
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ integration into mainstream learning

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field
• Recognized EAL qualification (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, or TEFL)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an EAL teaching role
• Strong understanding of language acquisition and differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage
