Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in monitoring and analyzing security logs and alerts to detect potential threats across the network and systems. Work alongside the team to identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents. Assist in gathering information and supporting efforts to mitigate threats and recover from attacks. Help perform regular scans and assessments to identify security vulnerabilities within systems, applications, and networks. Assist in remediating these issues with guidance from senior staff. Stay informed about the latest cyber threats and assist the team in applying threat intelligence to improve defenses and incident response strategies. Work with industry-standard security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEMs, anti-virus) to help protect the organization s IT infrastructure. Assist in creating, reviewing, and enforcing security policies, procedures, and best practices. Document security incidents and provide status updates to senior professionals. Support risk assessments by evaluating the potential risks and vulnerabilities within the organization s IT environment. Help contribute to internal awareness programs, educating employees about best security practices and emerging cyber threats. Participate in training sessions, certifications, and hands-on lab exercises to stay up-to-date with new technologies, tools, and security trends. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. Alternatively, strong hands-on experience, such as internship projects or certifications, may also be considered. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work well within a team environment. Good written and verbal communication skills. A keen interest in Cyber Security and a passion for learning.
