Helping Hands Nanny and Au Pair Services is looking for passionate, reliable, and experienced childcare professionals to join our network. We connect families with qualified caregivers and provide a safe, supportive platform for both providers and families.

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a loving family based in Calgary — but here’s the twist: this isn’t just a job in Calgary. This is a travel nanny position that will take you across Canada, the U.S., and overseas. Think beaches, nature, sunshine, and maybe a spontaneous airport dash or two.

As a nanny, you’ll provide attentive and nurturing care in the family’s home — wherever that may be — ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for the children.

You’ll primarily care for two children (ages 5 and 7), planning fun, enriching activities, supporting homeschool routines, driving to adventures, preparing engaging snacks, and helping with daily routines.

The Lifestyle:
This family follows a Medical Medium-inspired lifestyle — think fruits, veggies, clean foods, and accommodations for sensitivities. They’re vegan and gluten-free. All meals are provided (as long as they align with their dietary lifestyle). If you want to sneak in outside snacks or treats, those are on you!

You’ll have your own private bedroom, and all travel expenses (flights, etc.) while with the family are covered.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality, personalized childcare
• Support children’s daily routines, hygiene, and meals
• Engage children in age-appropriate play and activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Communicate with parents regularly
• Support homeschool program implementation
• Go swimming with the kids
• Plan kid-friendly adventures in each destination
• Keep snacks exciting and aligned with dietary needs
• Drive with the children when needed

Qualifications
• At least 18 years of age
• Current Standard Childcare First Aid with CPR (Level B or C)
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Proven childcare experience
• Private nanny experience – Minimum 3 years experience
• Confident driver with a full, unrestricted driver’s license
• High energy, fun-loving, calm under pressure
• Comfortable with short-notice changes and flexible schedules
• Non-smoker and non-drinker
• Organized, tidy, and passionate about healthy living
• Strong communicator and team player
• Receptive to feedback and eager to grow
• Able to provide recent childcare-related references

Hours of Work

Up to 50 hours/week with a competitive salary based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
