Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching French, with the ability to engage students in a dynamic learning environment. This role involves educating students across various age groups, including early childhood education and special education settings. The French Teacher will utilize effective communication skills to foster a love for the language and culture while employing various teaching methodologies.
Duties
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for French language instruction
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress and enhance learning experiences
• Provide tutoring support to students who may need additional assistance in mastering the French language
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
• Assess and evaluate student performance through regular testing, assignments, and classroom activities
• Incorporate diverse teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles, including those of students with special educational needs
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in language instruction
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, French, or a related field; teaching certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching French and at least B2 level proficiency in French (CEFR standard) is required
• Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education or special education
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students of varying ages and backgrounds
• Proficiency in proofreading educational materials to ensure accuracy and clarity
• Familiarity with math concepts is a plus, as it may be integrated into language learning activities
• A passion for educating others and creating an inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and curiosity
