Lovely Professional Family Seeking Proactive Housekeeper / Nanny – York
Lovely professional family looking for a professional, nurturing, proactive housekeeper / nanny to join their family, the family have two children 8 and 5, the position is predominately housekeeping but with some nanny duties involved.
The family Have two houses that would need over seeing, a home near the centre of York city and another home 45 minutes outside York, the family would require the housekeeper to oversee the running of both houses, these duties would include –
Keeping both properties well organised
Taking on specific projects to tidy and re-organise individual rooms within each house
Responsibility for cleaning and maintaining household equipment
Cleaning, laundering, ironing, mending and putting away the family’s clothes
Ability to use all equipment related to housekeeping e.g. checking pool chemicals, vacuum etc.
Preparing for holidays, weekend visits.
Ordering weekly online family food order
Running household management and errands (e.g. booking gardener, instructing the cleaner, dropping off clothes to dry cleaner, organising household repairs)
Monitoring property maintenance requirements and dealing with trades and contractors
The family are very busy and the children do attend extra curricular activities and various clubs and have school commitments, the family would love the candidate to really become part of the family and become an integral person in the family unit. Some experience with SEN would be beneficial in this role.
Duties for the children would include
Helping children with their homework and music practice
Very occasionally being available for babysitting
Ensuring travel / school bag and uniforms are always packed and up to date with all right content
Sometimes collecting the children from school and bringing them home or taking them to activities
Preparing for special occasions such as birthday parties
Cooking healthy and nutritious meals for the children and family.
Location of the job: York and 45 Minuets outside York at their second home.
Minimum experience Level for this job: 3 years
Details of any training needed for this job: Enhanced DBS Check and 12 Hour Paediatric First Aid.
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: Level 3 NVQ in Childcare or Equivalent. SEN experience would be beneficial
Hours of work: 11am – 7pm / 12 noon – 8pm
Days required: Monday – Friday
Pets in the home: No
Driving required: Yes essential
Job Start Date: September 2024 – Can be earlier for the right candidate.
Pay: £32,760 Gross per Annum
