Job description

Position Description: Loan Origination

A dynamic individual is required for a growing Development Finance business based in Central London to source, negotiate and present to credit committee loans to experienced residential property developers.

Reports to: CEO

Key Responsibilities:

· Business Development: Proactively identify and cultivate new client relationships with property developers, brokers, and introducers.

· Deal Origination: Source and originate residential development loans.

· Credit Assessment: Conduct initial due diligence and viability assessments of prospective projects, including borrower background, planning status, GDV, build costs, and exit strategy.

· Structuring Finance Solutions: Work closely with credit team to structure loan terms that align with risk appetite and client objectives.

· Stakeholder Management: Liaise with legal, valuation, and monitoring surveyor teams to ensure timely and smooth completion.

· Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of UK property development trends, lending criteria changes, and competitor products to maintain a competitive edge.

· CRM and Reporting: Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and provide regular pipeline and performance updates to management.

Requirements:

· Proven track record in loan origination at a UK development finance lender.

· Excellent network of developers and brokers in the UK market.

· Must be confident in working as part of a small team

· Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess development appraisals and financial models

· Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
