Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GEMS Founders School- Dubai. The successful candidate will work closely with special needs children, providing one-on-one support or group to enhance their learning experience and overall development.
Responsibilities:
• Individualized Support:
– Provide direct one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in various learning environments.
– Implement individualized education and behavior plans under the guidance of the SEN Coordinator or relevant professionals.
2. Academic Assistance:
– Assist students in understanding and completing academic tasks, adapting materials to suit their learning styles and abilities.
– Collaborate with teachers to reinforce learning objectives and modify teaching strategies as needed.
• Emotional and Behavioral Support:
– Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEN, promoting emotional well-being and positive behavior.
– Implement strategies to address and manage challenging behaviors, ensuring a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.
• Communication and Collaboration:
– Maintain open communication with teaching staff, Inclusion teacher, and other professionals involved in the student’s support network.
– Maintain daily communication with parents effectively.
• Progress Monitoring:
– Keep detailed records of student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
– Collaborate with the Inclusion teachers to assess and report on the effectiveness of intervention strategies.
